Team Aches And Pains, or TAPs for short, is a scenario paintball team based out of Selden, Long Island, NY. We are a group of family and friends with a common goal: to have fun playing paintball. We believe in playing paintball safely, fairly, and with the most fun we can possibly have for all involved. If you agree to this simple philosophy and are looking to join a fun group of people for paintball, you are welcome to find it here.
Some of us have played paintball before, but we really got the ball rolling (flying?) after March, 2006 when some of us attended our first indoor game together at a bachelor party. We began playing scenario games outdoors that summer, and the team began taking cohesive shape by mid-December. Some of our members joined the Red Team at the High Velocity Paintball scenario game “We Were Soldiers” in October 2006. The team made its debut game at High Velocity’s “Operation Frostfire 2007”, and TAPs has played for the Red Team ever since. It was there we were found by the other member teams of the Eastern Regional Scenario Alliance (ERSA) and invited to join.
Why "Team Aches and Pains"? Well, it's difficult for us to be on the field all at once, as all of us are literally experiencing some kind of ache or pain nearly all the time (by coincidence or fate, who can tell?). Nevertheless, it never keeps us away for too long, and we try not to let it slow us down on the field either. Life is full of aches and pains--we try to have fun regardless.
Or MAYBE it's just the aches and pains we inflict!
